In-N-Out has quietly removed the number “67” from its ordering system after a social media trend caused widespread confusion among customers. The viral “6-7” jokes and misleading posts spread so fast that the number unexpectedly became part of an online meme, prompting the fast-food chain to take action.

The company confirmed that the number has been officially taken out of its internal order rotation. Customers may now notice that order numbers jump directly from 66 to 68, a move designed to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings created by the online trend.

Although the original viral posts were based on misinformation, the buzz became large enough for In-N-Out to step in and protect its brand image. The chain emphasized that the decision does not affect service and is simply meant to prevent the spread of confusion.

The update has sparked mixed reactions online — some users find the change amusing, while others are surprised that a meme pushed a popular fast-food giant to modify its order system.
