Trouble for ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ Star’s Son: Kyle Chrisley Arrested on Assault Charges

Kyle Chrisley, son of reality TV stars Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley, has been arrested in Tennessee on multiple charges, including assault and public intoxication, according to law enforcement officials.

Chrisley was taken into custody Saturday evening by the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office around 7 p.m. and later booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. Authorities say the charges include domestic assault, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and three counts of assaulting a first responder.

In addition, Chrisley faces three counts of retaliation for past actions, a charge that typically involves threatening or harming someone over previous interactions or complaints. Officials declined to release further details about the incident that led to the arrest.

A Familiar Legal Pattern

This is not Chrisley’s first encounter with law enforcement. Just over a year ago, he was arrested on an aggravated assault charge. Following that case, he filed a civil lawsuit against Rutherford County and two sheriff’s deputies, seeking roughly $1.7 million in damages, alleging wrongful arrest.

Family Spotlight Returns

The arrest comes during a high-profile year for the Chrisley family. Earlier this year, Todd and Julie Chrisley—best known for the reality series Chrisley Knows Best—received a presidential pardon after being convicted on federal charges related to bank fraud and tax evasion.

As of now, it remains unclear whether Kyle Chrisley has posted bond or when he is scheduled to appear in court. Authorities have not released additional information regarding the case.
